Just upgraded my UTEC to 2.8, followed everything correctly, tranfered my old map, renewed my parameters as per previous. Cleared my CEL code with my code reader and fired the car up. Ticking over very rough and not revving past about 30% throttle, almost like misfiring. Rich as hell, plenty of smoke out the back, but not driveable at all.

Any ideas?, no CEL code now, did the throttle file update as well.

I found that when I upgraded from 2.6 to 2.8 my tune was crazy rich, there was definately a read ahead problem with previous versions of the firmware ...

If you have the know how, you'll need to take out a bunch of fuelling, what setup are you using ??? If it's close to mine I can send you my map ...

Im running APS TT, built motor, RC550CC injectors, APS fuel system.
I really didnt want to have to change my map, is their anyway of going back to earlier versions?? The map i have is a great tune.
The reason i reflashed my UTEC is that the car went into limp mode, so Im just trying to eliminate all causes of this, as it wouldnt clear it with an ECU reset.

 

Right, here's the latest. Tried the APS base map off the TurboXS website, and still idling at around 12:1. When you rev it, it just goes crazy crazy rich, and bogs down. No CEL lights showing, at all.
This is driving me nuts!

what was the issue? parameters off? new tune needed? grounding?

 

when you upgraded from 2.6 to 2.7 or 2.8 you will need to adjust the 0% column with a -15 if you have 550cc injectors , the "stock injectors size" and "new injectors size" in the parameters AREN´T FOR USE ANYMORE.
