I just use a Radio Shack usb-serial adapter cable. I've had absolutely no issues with it and was able to walk in and find it in stock on the shelf.

 

I guess I'll try that. I'm already using the RadioShack USB-Serial for my Wideband, now my dash will be really cluttered with wires...

 

any word on this problem? I cant get mine to switch to dashboard. it just sits there tryin to synchronize. If i go back to "logger" mode it synchronizes just fine. I just purchased the UTI logger today so i have the 2.7.5 version. I cant get it to work with either a USB, serial, or usb-serial adapter.

I just sent Jeff some output file from Utec and he'll incorporate some of the changes on the next version (3.0). Hopefully he fix it coz I want to log my IAT and Coolant.

 

I don't get it? when using the UTI logger, I set it up to add the coolant and IAT to my datalogs. It works perfectly!

You have to go into the setup and you can choose up to 2 extra parameters to add to the usual utec datalogs.

 

I have the same problem as the other fellow. When I select Dashboard, UTI is stuck on Synchronizing and that is it. I think since the dashboard is not working for us, then hence no data can be pulled on our logs. Jeff think it is something with the output that UTI was not able to convert. I'm also puzzled coz for some people Dashboard work. I have used 3 different Laptop using straight USB, USB-Serial, straight Serial and all of them failed.

 

What Setup are you talking about? Are you talking about the Setting?

 

even if that adds to the logs, I want the F2 dashboard to work so i have a heads up display on my monitor that shows live temps. It sounds like other people have the F2 Dashboard function working.

It all shows up when i use Hyperterminal so I know the data is there.

that's the setup screen i was talking about.

 

My logs don't contain any IAT or Coolant even though I have selected it. I can live without the Dashboard as long as the logs contain them but either way I'm out of luck
