Default swapping ecu's?

can an ecu be swapped from one car to another? i bought the tn kit off a member here, and tn requires a reflash.they charge $350 for the reflash (w/ the kit its free). can they be swapped or will it not work at all?

Depending the electronics in your car compared to his; TCS, VDC, transmission, and possibly the model of the car. You will also have to get the keys programmed to the new ECU.

This is exactly what had to be done on my ECU when I did this on my 04' Maxima, and considering that we share the same ECU, I would safely assume those things.

good luck,
dan

No you will have to get the keys programmed per the ecu to make the car start.

OR you can make buddy buddy with one of the techs there and just bring both cars there and do it without towing the car. I'm not too sure on the heated seats part...wait around for more people to chime in.
