Default E-Manage Blue questions

When I get the special cable to connect to my laptop, is there a "reset" to default settings feature? I ask because I purchased the unit that was already tuned to a TT set-up and I am a N/A with a few bolt-ons.

If I were to do this, then would there be any advantages of it just being hooked up, or not since it is at "default" settings? Anything to worry about with driving the car on default settings?

Also, are there any "quick" street tuning tips that anyone could give me? I'm obviously a n00b to tuning, and I know that I can screw something up badly with even the smallest mistake, but anything basic that could be done or learned by an amateur?

Sorry if these questions were already answered somewhere.

thanks,
dan

Your going to have to monitor your AF, especially since you have a TS flash. There is no good way to tell what they have leaned it out too. Did you ever pick up Cipher, I would highly suggest it.

Either way, if I set the EB to default settings, I should see what my "stock" AFR is from the TS ECU...don't see the problem in that.

And no, I didn't get a Cipher and don't really plan on it...?

How are you going to "see" your stock AFR? Are you planning on doing all this at a shop with a dyno, if not you need an aftermarket WB or cipher.

That will only allow you to see your adjustments, you still need to be able to monitor the cars AF independantly. You really have no way of knowing if you running 10 or 14. Your asking for trouble without a WB.
