^^^ he's an extremely reputable tuner in So Cal... I'm not trying to speak for him, but I know he spends TONS of time tuning Hondas and VQs... he comes out here to help the community occasionally... several dyno shootouts that appeared in print were done at his shop - and at least one major manufacturer of performance parts for the VQ previously used his services for product testing.

He's a very reputable tuner.

Don't take my word for it... ask Honda Motor Corp who asked him to explain the performance side for a TV special regarding the history of Honda.

Lots of Z's a G's o\in So Cal can vouch for him as well.

Matt, I sent two emails to that address. I personally PM'd you and two others on here. I got one response, replied immediately, and that was over a month ago. Pity.
That's not my criteria for 'very professional'. This is not brain surgery dude, they provide a small performance enhancement for your car, like a hobby? The good shops are busy, the rest aren't. Keep looking, I'm sure you can find someone who has no business and will reply immediately, and then you will be happy.

Get a clue dude. You're right, this isn't brain surgery.

The best and most reputable places are well rounded. Good CS, good product, good turn times, ect. I've nearly begged these people to give me info about their product. I'd post the chain of PM's I sent to different people and the one response I got, and my replies after that.....but that's not necessary. Stop nuthugging and think.

If I PM'd Sharif, arguably one of the busiest 350Z people, I would get a response in a day max. lol

I never said he wasn't. You can read my post, I expressed the feelings that nearly anyone would in the same situation. Your post helps validate his post more, but without that, he could be anyone on the internet. You understand.

I do understand... I just wanted to clarify for anyone that was not aware - that he isn’t here to bamboozle people - he has really done a lot for the VQ community... nothing more than letting people know he's one of the good guys.

have had my Osiris for a couple weeks now... Shawn (the guy a few posts above) tuned on dyno then re-tuned yesterday live driving... I am VERY, VERY happy with the results!!!!! I previously had Technosquare (which is very good)... I am as (if not more, actually more) happy with Osiris (and Shawn’s fine-tuning)!

As for the delays form Uprev… it’s the nature of the beast. Relatively new product that has its growing pains… they are trying to make it work on many different versions of Gs and Zs… and from I’ve been told (and we all have read) they aren’t a very big company. I waited a week from initial appointment with Shawn because he had to receive info form them to access my ECU – and he’s one of their authorized distributors and tuners… so it’s not just an unlucky few having to be patient…

All I can say is – it’s worth the wait!

What was the point of that?... One thread that (IMO) didn't specifically address anything other than a bunch of concerns that were never really answered entirely.

How about searching for the boatloads of positive reviews? How about spending some time at the shop to see the ridiculously amazing hp & trq being put down from the tunes out of this shop?...

Frankly, I'd love to keep Church Automotive a secret so no others could have the same performance, but sharing with the VQ community is what helped my AT Sedan be able to beat MT coupes! And Shawn has recently got the car to do even better...

So thanks for cute little link, but it's one of thousands of tunes - and again, I didn’t read anything (other than babble) that indicated Shawn was responsible for the guy’s problems. However, what I DID read is that he never bothered to go back and let Shawn know what the car was or wasn’t doing in relation to his expectations.

If you read my review of Osiris tune by Shawn you will se that initially I wasn’t entirely satisfied. It wasn't due to lack of tuner ability, it was because I had specific performance characteristics I was expecting... when I spoke to Shawn and let him know what I was after - he NAILED it!

The beauty of a good tuner is that they can listen to what your needs are then make it happen. Shawn does this.

Why revive a thread just to talk ****? I started a thread for a few reasons. To get in contact with the people at UpRev, and to inform the board of my experience. If you can't handle that, I'm sorry.

Just as a follow up to my post above - UpRev really came through for me. Top notch customer service. I had a deadline to meet and they responded to e-mails instantly. Thanks guys - passed inspection without a hitch.

FWIW, I was actually contacted by an UpRev rep. after this thread was posted, he was very nice and polite and offered an apology for the lack of communication.
I would do business with them if I still had the need to.

Default They do have great service.

When I got my software and package in the mail I was to excited to wait. Connected and flashed the ECU that night. I had a question, emailed it to them and got a reply the same night (about 9:00PM)

I advise that anyone not use the PMs from this site as a "reliable" communication to any business. I always find their web site and use what ever contact info that they publish.
