Haltech and Motec are 2 more. And there will be more to come Im sure.

As far as "the best hands down" Doubt you'll ever get a clear concensus on that one. It's all a matter of set-up and personal preference really.

no need to plunk down 3k for fcon, if only have moderate boost or NA. utec and unichip should suffice.

People are going to find out, that there isn't a whole lot of power to be had by tweaking the OEM cam angles. There is some midrange improvement, but negligible up top.

As far as "best". The best EMS is the one that your tuner is most comfortable with, and will deliver the best results for him and you.
Whether it's Haltec, Motec, FCon, AEM....it's all in the hands of the tuner. Put a Motec in the hands of crappy tuner, and you will have an engine that barely runs.

If you are self tuning, then I would look for the system with the most streamlined interface, and a user friendly approach to tuning.

there is something to be said about chasing midrange trq... at least AT N/A... Church Automotive was able to dial in low - mid very nicely with Osiris for me... cam angle wasn't the only thing but it was an improvement over my previous tune...

just my .02 and certainly not a debate.
