Default emanage removal?

Hey guys

Sorry, but searching the result for "emanage" and "emanage removal" wasn't that great..

Simple question I hope... can you just remove an emanage, or does the ecu need to be reset by a tuner?

This is for an NA application...

Thanks!

I would assume that IF you remove your mods along with the E-Manage, then you should be fine...otherwise you will be running like crap and possibly be throwing codes.

The emanage is only a piggy back. All you do is remove it from the mix and splice together whatever wires might have been placed in the loop rather then just tapped into. IE MAF wires

The car will likely run fine without it. I cannot see a few boltons changing the curves all that much to make it unsafe.
The stock ECU was untouched so nothing needs to be done with that.

Also jumper harness's are nice. You can remove and add back in whenever you want without touching your harness

I love "quick disconnects" instead of soldering - easy to remove and put back...
