Well, I bought the first 3. I just got 2 of them today. I will tried in the next few weeks to go through them. And I'll let you know

After you learn and tried it, it is sometimes easier and cheaper to have a shop do the full Tune especially if your car is Fi'ed. You really need a big space that you can run 90+mph to really be able to tune your higher RPM. It is very hard to hit every Cell in your Map on the street. Yes you can apply some brake to increase load or better yet find a long uphill road to help you increase load but nothing beat a load base dyno I got pulled over twice by cops even late at night when I was doing some logging, good thing they both let me go I guess it is easier if you are NA.

I live in NYC and Mr. bloomberg (NYC Mayor ) decided to put a cop on every city block and every freeway exit I blame Guliani coz he started it But if you are in a suburb and have a big empty space then you'll be ok.

Good point. I do my pulls on a certain freeway onramp. It's @ 1/2 mile long with @ 3% ~ 5% grade uphill. I can usually time it to where it's just me, no other cars. At the top of the ramp I'm doing about 120mph, then I slow down to 75mph, merge onto the freeway, and let the engine cool down until the next exit. Then I pull over & comb through my log, make adjustments, then do it again. :-)

Edit: I was out tuning one day on my onramp, when I saw a WRX/STi doing the same thing on the same ramp. We pulled over and had a great chat about tuning! Very cool guy~ Lol!

I bought this book a while ago and found it to be particularly helpful to me. I was used to carburetor jets, and distributors. This book helped me bridge the generation gap to injectors and ECUs.

Freeway onramp tuning FTW...

He had a GF, but yeah, we exchanged numbers (to hang out sometime). Gotta watch out for them jealous bishes! Lol~

That is were everything start anyways good to have a place you can do some runs.. I'm still looking for my spot here in NYC but our ramp are just to short and freeway are to small and crowded. There are a lot in NJ but I don't want to drive 20 mins and pay toll for every exit.
