I know the maps say stock intake, but any idea on how it might work with a K&N Typhoon intake? I've got an injen dual exhaust and that intake so I'm wondering if I could use any of the maps.

The catch is, all intakes for the Z's skew the A/F ratio to the lean side. In theory, since you have a small amount of mods, the stage 2 map should work for you. However, since we have not tested it specifically with the K&N intake, we can not verify that. The best thing would be to log your A/F ratios. The AP has the ability to watch A/F ratios. So you could monitor with that. As long as A/F ratios remain close to stock you are fine.

We will be working on making a huge database of maps for every possible combination of modifications. But that obviously will take time. For now, we need to recommend the stock intake since it is the only intake not skewing MAF readings.

What's the norm A/F you've logged?

Well, under WOT you probably want to see A/F in the 12's or richer. With intakes we have tested, some of them made the cars run as lean as 14's under WOT condition. That's ok for closed loop, but in open loop it should be much more rich.

Which map has the raised rev limit? I've tried both the stage 2 that came in the AP and the stage 2 (1.01) from your site......both are stock.

Is it normal to get an error when trying to look at live A/F ratios? Mine will read for a sec. and then I get an error message. I have an early '03 track.

Sorry, I posted it in another thread. I guess the maps have been updated, but they have not been uploaded to the website. Look for version 1.02 of the maps. Those will have the higher rev limit.

As for your issue with the A/F not working right, our AP engineer thinks he may know what's wrong. It has something to do with the programming being based around the '06Z. But he should have a solution for you soon.

This may go without saying but I wanted to ask if the new higher rev limit map will have a/f corrections for the new 500 rpms.

Can you possibly elaborate on what the tuning issue(s) is with the 2003 G35 sedan ECUs? Does Cobb honestly believe they'll be able develop an Accessport application for this car? Thanks.

Tried the extras 500 rpm today and it did not work. Power up top feels a little flat compared to redline at 7k which feels much more crisp.

thanks......I'll get that map tonight.

Not that it I really need it, but the live MPG function doesn't work either.

I haven't had the chance to do a post reflash dyno yet (Friday), but my a** and rear tires say the AP was worth the wait.

They have been working on it. Last I heard it was close. I really don't know what the differences are. I would guess it has something to do with partial CAN bus vs. full CAN bus.

So your redline was still stock? And the map felt more flat than the v1.01 map? Or was the power just more flat than the old redline? BTW, the power does fall off significantly around stock redline.

Our tuner is out of the office today. I will ask him in the morning about the redline thing. He said they were all changed. I'll make him look into it more.

I pushed the car above the 7000 redline but seemed to hit a wall around 7200 rpm for power. I ran it for a while going up and down the rpm ranges. Whether actual or imagined since I did not dyno the car felt much stronger with the 7k redline. The car pulled hard all the way to redline and acceleration seems constant. Therefore am choosing happily to run car on map 2 and not map 2a with the increases redline. Others will probably choose differently.

OK, so I talked to our AP engineer. He says the power difference very well could be due to the fact that when you flash the new map onto the computer it resets all learned values. So once you drive for about 100 miles the learned values should be re-learned and your power up high should be back to where it was. Also, with the values being reset during the reflash, you may have actually not had the power to go much past 7200. He also suggested using the AP to play with your timing values. You may get a little out of that as well.

Our tuner that made the maps is not in yet. Once I get word from him, I will let you know his thoughts as well/

So our tuner basically confirmed what the engineer said...
