Default Can I upload a map to UTEC outside of car?

I didn't see anything in the manual about uploading maps to UTEC with out it being installed in the car with the ECU attached. I could have missed it since it is late, but just wondering, is there a way to upload a map with just the utec?

Also I'm in need of a 600cc map, anyone have one? Just need it to hold me over till my car makes the drive to get tuned.

Thanks.

there should be a power jack for a 9volt battery on there. Itll look like a headphone plug in. You should be able to load maps before you install. I was going to preload maps before i installed but decided just to wait.

So if I use the 9v battery, all I need to do is follow the directions for loading a map? why wouldn't turboxs list stuff like that in the manual....
