more or less, yeah. but once you correct for the loss of detected airflow, its the same thing. you could get one that was 8" ID, youd just have to add all that MAF voltage back in in order for it to run right. in other words, if you arent taking advantage of increased flow through the MAF (bigger tubing, filter inlet size, etc) then there is no point
