Are there any plans of improving the user interface to actually make it easier to tune the car. I have no personal experience, but i hear a few people saying that it takes quite a bit of work just to get your head around using the thing.

I got to play with RTT yesterday and today. It's not that bad. You just need a understanding of what's being displayed since it's in HEX format. That's what is a pain.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but on my 03 G35 my cruise control no longer works after I flashed my ECU with Osiris.

something must have went wrong. try to flash it again and see if that changes.

this is the first issue i've ever heard of any cruise problems.

mine works flawless and i've flashed it well over 50 times now.

Same here. Mine got a Flash work out this past weekend. No issue at all with my CC.

that would have to be a feature nissan would build into the stock ecu....since the stock ecu is what we are using here.

I assumed it did self adjust, mine isnt though. Found that the original tuner goofed up and turned something off not allowing it to.

where is that feature?

i have osiris tuner and i'm looking at my ecu features right now and don't see anything about altitude adjust or disabling it. I think someone is pulling your pork.

If the stock ecu does adjust (which it SHOULD) there is no adjustment and definitely no way to disable it, at least not through osiris.

The hotwire type MAF is self adjusting for air density.

Less dense air provides less air molecules to carry heat away from the wire. More dense air, more molecules, higher voltage signal from the MAF, respectively.

The various speed density systems do the same via a calculation of manifold pressure and intake temperature.

makes sense. i was just thinking the only way i saw it able to do that would be through the MAF sensor since we don't run a MAP sensor in stock config.

It might be something like blinkerfluid said. The tuner explained a little whats wrong...anyways the end result is a non running Z in high altitude. But all is well, a cipher cable is coming which is good cause im tired of sitting around the house.

would love to get switch on/off points for the radiator fans.. in the mid east, we get plenty heat, and it'd help us out a few extra degrees!

Uprev has had apparent success with the transmission control unit and on a turbo'd Titan. Please release this to the public!

lot's of good suggestions here but the one about having a default / button to auto-select the parameters needed for an etune would be good.

i'm having a hard time juggling my pc so i can see the screen and set the parameters , and after finally finding somewhere to perform a few clean 0-60's i find that i'm always missing something - they seem to change and sometimes Osiris locks up - seems to be when the logs reach a certain size.

maybe i'm doing something wrong

Anyone else have this happen or have any tips about getting the etune logs complete?

Why do you even need to wait for dev kits? They all use standard serial interface and publish clearly what comes out of them. For example, the AEM wideband outputs a serious of A/F values at 9600 baud:

14.7
14.7
14.8
14.7

It wouldn't be very difficult for your developer to create a few extra routines to merge arbitrary serial port data and Cipher logs in real time.

How do you upgrade your cable firmware to version 1.73 or newer? I'm dead in the water now since Cipher upgrade from uprev site.

Thanks.

From their site:

Is there an upgrade route for current Cipher owners?
Yes, but your current Cipher cable will not function with Osiris. Contact us at info@uprev.com and we will walk you through the details.

This was a Cipher software upgrade/update only that works with Win7 OS. I wasn't upgrading to Osiris. Thanks for the reply though.

They don't reply to my Emails about cable firmware version now required. Cipher won't connect to ECU without that.

Anyone else know how?

Uprev...you still on here? Please answer my Emails. Thanks.
