For everyone against the SAFC2
No bashing. There is fact behind people saying the things they say about the product.
FACT: The SAFC is a fair enough choice on a car that does not have a learning ECU.
FACT: The pricing was reasonable when stand alone and piggy back units started at over $1500 a few years ago.
FACT: Butt dynos don't prove anything.
FACT: It is cheaper and better to buy a base flash tune for a Nissan 2003 and newer than use a SAFC.
FACT: No one cares about proof when their friends tell them it's good.
FACT: Few people will read this post and then search for other posts on the subject.
FACT: I started this post at 10am when I got in this morning but didn't finish it till 1:40pm

OP, there's no reason to keep saying "delete thread".
If you really feel that you've made a difference, make your adjustments, dyno, leave the settings alone for a while, follow up. If you made power and kept it, no worries.
I don't think Z1 and UpRev need to push their products so badly that they're going to deface Apex'i. I've used the SAFC, SAFCII, and SAFC NEO on a few different cars. I agree that they're good basic tuning tools, it just makes sense that the Z's ECU is a little too complex.

well my plans are to use the safc untill i get my forged internals in and then get a utec and get a good stable tune but untill then i guess i am relying on my butt dyno lol... i love this forum and just for everyones information the stock ecu has yet to override my corrections. almost a week and still no change. daily settings from -3 to -7% and hi throttle settings -16% across the board starting at 3,400 rpm. its still there i checked today. i zeroed out my hi throttle settings and watched my wideband hit 15-16 at wot. i put it back to the -16% and it stayed from 11.0-12.0 so i guess i am still waiting on it to correct itself
OP, I appreciate your notes on the product. I have NA mods and will be NA for another year or so, looking for a decent inexpensive alternative to something that I have to have professionally tuned. Seems like your notes are good and I would love to hear some continuing updates on your situation. Thanks!
