I'd recommend getting a boost gauge on there.

what? there are too many variables. the end...your little calculator is 80% worthless, give or take 20%.

trying to diagnose via internet w/ no reliable data is not worthwhile...civic has a good plan by getting car to a shop.

no big deal.

yes it isn't trapping the right speed and the trap is more indicative of mid 200 rwhp.
yes I agree it's going to be the best idea just to take it back to the tuner and let them figure it out as well as verifying my AFR with another wideband or my stock widebands via cipher.

This is going to be my last post here... You have no clue what you are talking about... At least Civic know what I'm talking about so stop quoting me unless you have a clue.

sorry Civic4982...

so my tuner is still having problems with it. he says it runs fine with his laptop hooked up and he saves it and it verifies that it is saved but when I drive it and hop back into the car it goes back to the screwed up map of running rich.

I'm about to give up and go Osiris.

It's costed me gobs of money to get this setup running correctly and it's mostly because my tuner isn't nkowledgable on the unichip.

Others have had theirs retuned fine!!!

I'm getting very frustrated and I think my tuner is about to give up on me.

Did your tuner do a road tune after the dyno?

yes he did a road tune just in case and he said while his laptop was connected it ran fine. and when he disconnected it and gave me the keys it didn't save.

however later on he made an adjustment and saved it twice just to be sure. that small adjustement worked and he's going to get it back in again soon.

I'll just have to be sure to stay out of boost.

Just a suggestion for future stuff: ask your tuner to record your loads when he's doing the dyno pulls. It's very hard to compare dyno vs. road is you don't know what loads you're hitting on both times. Load is the truth and will always tell you if you're comparing apples to apples. Remember that maps are 3D, not 2D, your road conditions can hit totally different areas of the map than the dyno. Having loads to compare would tell you that instantly. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as you...except I am using the UTEC. Starting to regret the whole decision to go FI.

so my tuner called the other day and asked for my permission for him to purchase some different FMU discs. The stock FMU runs 10:1 which is frankly super high. He's going to try to use a different ratio FMU washer discs which will hopefully result in less of a increased surge in my fuel pressure which is probably resulting in the gradually increasing fuel being dumped into my cylinders. we're going to try it again once that comes in.

SUCCESS!!!

So my tuner called today and finally the car is done.

They had a tough time controlling the fuel trims with such high 10:1 FMU ratios so we purhased some different discs from Vortech and trended it down several ratios smaller using the 4:1 ratio FMU calibration disc.

The car now runs right around 11.5 on WOT through the entire powerband.

I'll update with most recent dynos as soon as the winpep files are e-mailed to me.
