When I get my final tune I would like to have a couple different maps setup on the F Con Pro. Now what I dont get is, why do I need a boost controller?
I know basically you have your screen in the cabin and the selniod. The controller measures the boost and holds the w/g closed until a certain psi is reached and then sends a signal to the selinod to open. From the in cabin controller you are also able to switch from high/low maps etc..
What I want to know is do I really need that in cabin screen? I want to keep my interior looking really clean, and that is whey I am purchasing a Camp2 so I wont have to have any extra gauges. Is it possible to purchase a seliond to connect to the F con and be able to change maps via the Camp2?
Im not 100% sure but doesnt the utec have the option to use a selinod to connect to it and switch maps via the map selector, so essentially no need for a boost controller.
Thanks, just need some clarification so I buy just what I need.

you only need a boost controller if you want to run more boost than your wastegate springs allow (ie lo/hi boost)
so yes, you need a boost controller (which is the 'solenoid' u r talking about)

Just get a EBC and you'll be fine. Set a map for ' ' psi. Then dial up the boost to ' ' psi then switch to a higher set psi map. Blitz makes a good EBC or HKS sence you have F-con. IMO
