Default Ecu and electronic choices

Hey i have a 03 z with a turbonetics kit. I just had a built motor put in, but the rest of my system is the way it came from turbonetics. I want more power to bring my car to its potential. Currently its just the re flashed ecu 380cc injectors and ~8psi WG spring from the kit. i was thinking a utec with map sensor, ~600cc injectors and an electric boost controller. I wanted to get a second opinion before i buy the wrong stuff. Anny input would be appreciated thanks.

First thing get a new EMS that is most important when it comes to FI. If you up your injectors you will need a Walbro 255 in the tank. Real easy to install. I recommend buy a new Rubber O ring gasket they don't seem to fit back in tight after removal. And you don't want to smell gas fumes. EBC's are great but they will get you in trouble when it comes to the limit of your tune. And if you stay below 440's inj. you will not have a hot start issue if you go with the Utec.

set your budget, and determine your end goal power wise.

you can spend alot of money when you dont need do.

you can reflash with new injectors size for a nomial fee vs a whole stand alone unit..

I was looking for maby upper 400's whp. Price isent a huge issue but im not too keen on spending $2000 for just the ecu, if i can get an ok system with a utec but i see alot of ppl go with a F-Con and i have no problem spending an extra couple hundred if it will get me alot better set up. I didnt know about the hot start problem so that was helpfull. And i really dont know the difference in capabilities of the different ecu's. Thanks 4 feed back.

4xxrwhp? yea. ECU reflash has limitations upwards in the 5xx range. i'm in the 500s and controlling everything with just ECU reflash (and new injectors)

I have a built motor Turbonetics car on our dyno today with a Haltech in it, tuned on both TN 380cc injectors and DW 600cc injectors. It has the Haltech boost control kit added as well (under $100). If you are interested in a package like that let me know, I have a good base map to get you going.

Why would he have hot start issues with the Utec?
