I've got one and I'm in So Cal but I haven't even gotten my intake, hi-flows or exhaust yet. Shouldn't I wait until I at least get those things? I'm a little iffy on being the guinea pig...

we just need a car/ecu first, if you havent gotten the intake or exhaust yet, its ok. we need to get the base tune first, then we can tune for the intake and mods later.. since beta tester, you will get two free tunes. once as a base/stock, and a subsequent tune later..

FYI

I am currently haveing troubles with Technosquare on a recent 2008 350Z re-flash.

Specifically the after re-flash air fuel ratio values are 11.8 to 11.3:1 from 5000 to 8000 rpm, for a NA car with basic mods. The real problem is that since the re-flash I have sent numerous e-mails and smade everal phone calls to Technosquare, and all have gone un-responded too. Therefore in my opinion very poor customer service.

On the up side I am very happy with the improvements to the fly by wire throttle system responce and the increase in max revs.

I just thought that in the interest of all who may by considering this, that this instance should be known.

who did you try talking to, and when?

Richey, the VP, has been in the hospital since early July (cancer), the crew there has been very busy with trying to make sure Richey is ok from out of Surgery and @ the hospital nearly every day

Im sorry if you had un-responsive emails..

what seems to be the problem with your car?

those are the normal AFR readings for NA car, the car likes fuel on the top end...

My ECU was re-flashed by Technosquare in early July 2009.

I have never been able to talk to anyone at Technosquare about the problem. My calls either go un-answered, or I am forced to leave a voice message that details the problem. These messages also have gone un-answered. My numerous e-mails to Technosquare have all also gone un-answered.

I am sorry to here about Richey at Technosquare, I hope he makes a full recovery.

The only problem is the Air fuel ratio's are not what I was told (A talk with Technosquare prior to the re-flash) or have read (Sport Compact car article & the other mag article escapes me at the moment) and the measured A/F's do not compare with Technosquares own web site. I have measured with my LM-1 and a local dyno shop has measured with there wideband O2 setup similar A/F ratio's of 11.3:1 to 11.8:1 which is a full point richer than advertised.

I should make this very clear there are no runability or driveability issues with my car, the extra revs are great, the fly by wire throttle improvements are good, turn around time for the re-flash was very good 3-days from Michigan to California and back. The problems are that the after re-flash A/F values are not to advertised specifications, and Based on their non responces they have a very real lack of customer support.

A/F values prior to the reflash were in the 10.6 tp 11.1 range from 5000 rpm to 7500 rpm.

OK. so lets start from the beginning. sorry for the troubles you're getting, but...

1. what mods do you have on the car.
2. did you include a pre-dyno afr chart with your ecu?
3. your pre-values are pretty rich, at 10.6 to 11.1..

and your post tune are 11.3 to 11.8

and you say they're 1 point richer than advertised... so are you requesting to go to 12:1?

4. i can talk to Tadashi when he gets back from Japan, he left about ~two and half weeks ago, and should be back on Monday the 24th, probably why you havent been able to get in contact with anyone. like i said, they've been short staffed.

5. So what you're unhappy is not about the performance, but the phone call returns?
What would suggest for resolution, you want to send in your ecu to get it run leaner? not all cars are running the same tune..

i dont understnd your real complaint, is it pinging at high RPM under load? do you have any mechanical issues?

1: AEM intake, AAM 21/2" test pipes, Greddy dual exhaust
2:Yes I included Technosquare's spec sheet, and yes it included the above mentioned options. When I sent my ECU to them
3:Yes those A/f values are correct 10.6 & 11.1 before and 11.3 & 11.8 after

Yes I am aware that the 350Z's stock ECU settings are very rich.

I did not request any specific target A/F ratio with Technosquare, I was merely quoting from their web site.

Quote from Technosquare's web site:
"Fuel Map Adjusted
Stock fuel was set to detune the top end horsepower. We discovered that the car runs extremely rich after 5000 rpm. Air to Fuel ratio (A/F) of 10.5 was found right before the stock rev limiter kicks in. Cleary, Nissan was trying to detune the power output at higher rpm to discourage the driver from hitting the rev limiter. For the performance enthusiasts, however, this is unsatisfactory, so we set the A/F to 12.5 all the way to redline to provide adequate power gain while still maintaining a safe margin."

In a prior response I referenced the following articles. They are basically the same but different mags.

http://sportcompactcar.automotive.co...ash/index.html

http://www.modified.com/news/sccp_08...ash/index.html

4: If the primary person there is out of the country, then that would make it difficult to respond, but with today's technology not out of the question.

5: Yes you are basically correct, what started as a request to re-flash things a little leaner based on before and after A/F readings turned into (from my perspective) the company falling off the face of the earth.

I was not unhappy with what was done and as I said before everything works fine, just looking for further improvements. I did not become upset until the series of non responses.

No, no pinging and no mechanical issues.

I started my after flash contact with Technosquare under the premise of paying an additional $150 to have them re-flash my ECU "leaner" based on before and after wide band O2 readings.

Heck I would initially have been happy with someone returning an e-mail saying that they could not make further improvements.

I would like it to be a little leaner, and I can provide an A/F graph if it would help. Thanks for the offer to help.

I am not expecting this for free, therefore please do not bring it up that way.

Chebosto was very helpful in making contact with Technosquare, bottom lone TS is willing to reflash my ECU to a slightly leaner setting.

Thanks to Chebosto and Technosquare.
