Knock sensor
Z threw this code,
"P0327,Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank I or Single Sensor)"
Googled it and got this PDF file,
http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/05+/data/...ta/0050030.pdf
(the first two pages is all I really understand)
So it looks like my knock sensor is giving my ECM a lower than normal output (less than .5 volts according to the PDF file). I'm thinking the wires and harnesses need to be cleaned or something. I'm not mechanically inclined but if anyone would know how to either find the KS to clean all the plugs and harnesses that might help, or if anyone knows how much it costs to have a stealership replace it. Any input helps!

Unfortunately the knock sensor(s) is located underneath the intake manifold and is attached to the top of the engine block. To gain access to the knock sensor means you have to remove the whole intake manifold.
To give you an estimate of what it would cost, most shop guides call for 2.2-2.5 hrs of labor and you'll have to pay for the knock sensor (or the fix of your electrical connection), coolant and all associated gaskets in removing the intake manifold.
However, most shops will want to diagnose the problem first. That involves going down a list of diagnostic procedures for that certain code and that will also cost you additional money.

P0327 is a knock sensor low voltage, but the link you found appears to be for a Toyota. If it is any help, here are the factory service pages for the 350Z P0327. It sounds like either a bad sensor or wire trouble (connector came loose?)?

Thanks for the responses. I was quoted for about $330 by a mechanic to get it replaced. They said that I needed a new one, but I have been told that knock sensors rarely ever just go bad, especially on Nissan's. So 330 for about 2.5-3 hrs inlcuding the part doesn't sound like a rip off.
I think I'll let a mechanic tackle this one since checking the knock sensor signals and harness sounds complicated. Doesn't look at easy as just taking the old one our and plugging another one in.
Anyway thanks for the input! I'm getting this taken care of soon!

Man i got the same problem and my car runs like crap. I also heard that Knock sensors on these cars rarely go bad. Do u guys think it's one of the bolts that may have cause the k.sensor to become loose giving me a low input? If it is the connector/wire how do i get by fixing it? Please help, i have been doing a lot of searching but nothing??? Thanks!
i have the same proplum with my g35. replace sensor didnt fix it .take to a couple of people that had the same proplum the said they had to replace the knock sensor wiring and it tike care of the proplum so i am going to order the wiring harness to see if it will if the proplum.
