Default Unichip - what gains can you get?

Hi

I own a 2005 350z (mark 1). I'm getting a Motordyne 5/16" ISO thermal plenum spacer fitted next week so should hopefully see 5-10hp.

I'm thinking of a true dual exhaust, probably the Invidia Q300 (http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...st&prodid=3531), at some point too a long with a unichip. With the MD plenum spacer, TD exhaust and the unichip tuning (which can fully open the throttle and allow full adjustment of the fuelling etc) what gains are to be had (has anyone put their car on the dyno with similar basic mods with a unichip)?

Thanks for any help and info.

Every car is different meaning every car will net different gains from different mods. Also, instead of buying a unichip you should consider Uprev Osiris.

Thanks for your reply. I'm only really interested in the Unichip at the moment because my local tuner is trialling this particular piggyback chip and I want to know more about it from those that have actually used a unichip on a normally aspirated car with only minimal mods - any dyno results after the unichip fitted welcome or how the car felt to drive on the road after having it fitted (low down rpm response and high rpm response etc) - it's supposed to allow full control over opening the throttle 100% etc and allow full custom remapping of a 350z suited to my particular car and it's current mods as opposed to an "off the shelf" chip. The local tuner has also told me it can be easily taken off.

Can you get the Uprev Osiris in the UK and is it a reflash of the ecu? Would this void a manufacturer warranty?

RS Tuning in the UK will be a Pro Tuner shortly.

Price is 400€ plus dyno time. Anything you do to change the way the vehicle runs will void the warranty. The difference here is that before you take it in to the dealership for work you can flash it back to stock. With the Unichip you have to unplug things and hope none of the wires need to be cut or panels modified. No such issue here as there are no changes to anything the dealership might notice.
