Default Osiris E-tune Question

Would I just have to buy the 500.00 Standard package to get the e-tunes or do I also have to buy the cipher cable as well? I tried to search on their site and it didn't seem to specify.

Thanks

when you get the tune (the 500$ one) you get 3 email things or w.e you call it. if you if you get a new part and need a re-tune you have to pay 50$ to get another E-Tune(email tune). Thats the way i view it but hey i could be wrong. I just go to austin to get my car tune straight from them.

But I would still have to have the cipher cable in order to do the e-tunes at all right?

One other thing, since I have an early 2004 and don't believe I have a wideband built in, will I not have the option to even do the etune?

Hey, Kempo, the Osiris standard comes with a cipher cable. You need the cable to load the E Tunes. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing an Osirus standard.

Thanks, Vince

Well I'm kind of bummed out because after doing some research I found out that the early 2004 models do not have wideband built in. I don't know if I want to mess with wiring a wideband into the car just to do the etunes.

What is my best option in everyones opinion?

^Yes, it comes with cable... and best option for you is finding an authorized Pro Tuner w/ Dyno. This will provide the best tune for your vehicle and shouldn't cost much more than the etune package.

Thanks for the input. Any idea if there is a tuner close to Kansas? I am pretty much in the middle of nothing.

Unless I am wrong I found a tuner in spring texas from uprev's site. That is 11 hours away! I think that is the closest to me.

Just found out that a new Uprev tuner is located in Tulsa, OK. This is around 6 hours from me. Do you guys think that it would be worth a 6 hour drive?

+1 ^^ I too am in Kansas, so I am interested in with you find in these regards, but I am also going to be out in Cali all summer so i am gonna try and have it done out there. However it is going to be an expensive summer, so not sure that there will be funds left for tuning...which leads me back to the fact that i will be here for another year and will still be interested in a tune, so keep us posted on your tuner selection!!

Hey Still alive. What part of KS? I have actually given up on the tuning endeavor for now. If I do anything as far performance goes, my next thing will be a new final drive gear, probably the 4.083.

I just think that for the money I could spend on a tune I can spend about the same on the gear set up and install kit.

If I were going to get the tune I would def make the 6 hour drive to Tulsa to have it done.

The tune is worth it. I picked up 20 ft-lbs of power in the midrange. It just feels different. One big thing i've noticed is that when I upshift during acceleration, I continue accelerating and it doesnt lag.

Plump what mods did you have done when you got the tune? How much did everything cost you if you don't mind me asking?
