Default UpRev Osiris: External MAP data use for tune (Manifold Absolute Pressure)?

I'm using Osiris Tuner version for my fully built NA motor and I'm wondering if there is any way to incorporate MAP data into the Osiris tune. I know that the stock ECU does not read MAP and, therefore, Osiris cannot sense it, but wondering how capturing this data at WOT would allow you to manipulate other ECU controlled parameters to make more power. Thanks for the input.

If the stock ecu cannot read map, and if Osiris cannot either, how are you going to capture map data? I would think that you would need a standalone ems that can run off of map like the fcon vpro. My tune is run off a map sensor with a vpro and the maf is there just to keep the stock ecu happy.

Also, do you have a "built" NA motor, or a stock motor with "full bolt-ons"?

It is my understanding that Vince at RT Tuning can set up the dyno parameters to be able to read MAP. He did it for 1cockyz's car.

Also, my motor is a fully built high compression job with full bolt ons. Want to check my turned out pockets?

what parameters do you think that would be gained from speed density??? MAF system is way more accurate esspecially in NA form... MAP is just guessing the amount of air entering the engine, especialy when altitude chages. the density of air changes and then your tune is not spot on... MAF measures the actual air entering and the tune is determined from load and MAF readings which will be the same at all altitudes (within reason... your not climbing the Andes are you??? j/k) stick with MAF, and get some adjustable exhaust cam gears to change your EVO and get some sick lope and top end powAAA

You just answered your question. It was the Dyno that was reading the pressure and not the ECU. You probably miss the part when Vince went to his engine and inserted a vacuum hose to the plenum. All dyno has this so it can log the boost by rpm. When you get your dyno graph, where do you think it gets the rpm/tq/hp/Air Fuel data? All this data was taken by the dyno and not the ECU. If you notice it also plug a sniffer in the back or they plug their own 02 sensor when tuning.

My car was not tuned by map. I just asked vince to do a run with the map sensor hooked up to the front of the intake manifold to see how restrictive the intake manifold was.

There is no way (or reason) for the stock ECU to incorporate MAP sensor data to determine fuelling - Osiris flash or not.

If you want to use manifold pressure for tuning your fuel delivery (not sure why you would even want that if you are N/A), get a UTEC, or a Haltech, or an Fcon etc. etc.
