Default Osiris: ROM Editor - License error!

i've upgraded my Osiris from standard to tuner version and it worked fine.. i used to hook up the cable and view the tables/figures in the e-tune Uprev sent me.. now after couple of weeks of not touching it, i'm trying it again but it give me (License error!) every time i try to load the rom file!

after couple of attempt, i thought maybe i need to update the software, and i used the updater, but nothing changed.

any ideas?

What is the Error you are getting?
Did you update your Cable license for the Turner Version?
What cable Firmware you running?

I have to run for a bit, but I will be back later. I have an idea what it may be.

Ok try this:

In order to get the latest firmware (1.75) you need to download this file.
http://uprev.com/updates/Osiris%20Tuner%20Installer.exe
For some reason the firmware is not coming down with the update tool. After you install this run the updater again and then try to update your cable.

Now last night I got this error when using the Osiris Flash tool. I have emailed Jared about it.

thanks for that.. but i figured it out...

i've installed the same version i'm running and it worked fine. after running the ROM Editor, you should get the message: "Definitions loaded Ok", and that's what didn't get in the previous installed app.

anyways, i'm downloading the file from the link provided, that should be even better..

now, on to your issue..

tbh, Uprev sucks @ customer service, and you got alot of resellers that can help/serve you better.

do you have the tuner version? or just standard?

did you rename the flash file by any chance?

I have the Tuner Ver. I found away around using Osiris to do the Flash. I used the Rom editor to flash my car.

And yes I did rename the File.

ok.. i know it shouldn't have to do anything with renaming the file, except if you renamed the extension (which i doubt it, because you won't be able to open it with the editor).

try to do what i did and reinstall the software. if you did that already, then move the file Osiris.exe and its DLL files to some other folder, and then run the Updater to try and get a newer version.

hope that works..

yes.. it's installed already.

this problem doesn't have to do with MS Framework.. it has to do with the ROM Editor itself.

last time i had the same problem, and all i did was uninstall/reinstall and it started working fine, because as it seems, the ROM Editor isn't reading definitions.. i don't know why!?
