I just got my Accessport for my 06 Base Z. Flashed the Stage 2+ map to it... No problem. Ran my car on a dyno, and found out that I'm running a little lean, so I went to tweak the map a bit. Saved, uploaded, datalogged, repeated til I got it about right.
Was uploading the final map, it got about 40% complete, then got a communication error... I told it to retry, then I get a Fatal Error. Says to contact support, which does not provide phone support anymore... Please help. I can't get the car to start, and attempts to reflash/uninstall are unsuccessful

I think you may have fried the ECU
This is what worked for me (Uprev, not Cobb) - disconnect the battery for a couple hours, hook back up and try flashing again.
The actual recovery has alot to do with the flashing software so I don't know if AP can recover the same way as mine did. Worst case, you should be able to send Cobb your ECU and they can manually flash it on a bench.

In the interests of helping out ex-Cobb owners and because they are good guys, UpRev may be able and willing to fix your ECU for a small fee. If Cobb lets you down, it's worth a try I guess...

Update:
Just got off the phone with Cobb. They just gave me a ticket number, so I can send the ECU in. So, now I gotta figure out how to get the thing out... lol. Wonder how much this is gonna cost me to do.
To the OP, Cobb should be able to recover it on their bench. And if possible ($$ wise) I'd switch to Uprev once you get it back. Cobb has dropped support for our platform.

That's what mine were doing when my Uprev flash crashed. But luckily it recovered on it's own after leaving it off for a while.

Thanks, I'm actually considering going to Uprev now... I was originally going to go that route anyway, not sure why I didn't...

Well, just for giggles you may want to check the ECCS control fuse in the distribution block by the battery, but when those fans run full time like that it usually means there is no communication with the ECU.

Anybody know an easy way to get this ecu out? I'm kinda having a tough time with it. Looked in the service manual and don't see anything useful in there.
ok, I'll go look.
