Emanage Ultimate Experience's?
I have asked a couple of questions regarding the use of this on the Z, and i would like to get more feedback from people who have fitted and self tuned with this, and also from experienced tuners too.
I am particularly interested in how you have accomplished changing the fueling and timing and making it stick, during the closed loop area of the map, so a large proportion of the map,
as the 350Z and G35 ECUs are known for retuning themselves to the average driving style, and so if adjustments are made by the EMU after the injector and ignition signals leaves the std ECU, surly the std ECU is going to tune out any adjustment made as soon as the lambda feedback picks up on it, and the same goes for the timing signal which is live monitored by the ECU.
The only way around these problems so far as i can see it to either change the AFM signal, which would have a global effect on both the fueling and the ignition timing, or by actually changing the lambda feedback signal to allow for the fueling changes, or both?
Just out of interest, as i have tuned several older turbo cars with the EMU, but there ECUs are not as advanced as the Z, i have also read that people have used the AEM FIC on the Z which i know has the ability to tweak the lambda feedback, but have also heard that it to cannot handle the ignition timing correctly.

Hi Ricky (fellow Brit, here)-
I have a GReddy E-manage Blue which I think is different from the Ultimate. My Z is also turbocharged and had massive pinging issues with just the reflash. I bough the E-manage Blue and it fixed the pinging and also made the car's responce better and made better overall power.
Your question, however, is out of my league. I would suggest calling GT Motorsports in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and ask for Sam as he is very seasoned in tuning and all of its small detail. He tuned my car. He should definitely be able to help you- just keep in-mind the time difference between your locales.

Tricky, if you want I can sell you my Emanage ultimate and you can have a go at it. It sounds like you are a tuning enthusiast as I am. It is one of the most user friendly interfaces and an excellent DIY project especially if you dyno tune it yourself. For me it was worth it for the learning experience alone.
It is also quite possible Greddy has released updates for the Z33, I haven't checked in a while.
I have the greddy emanage ultimate complete harness, and an ECU patch harness, software, and manuals. I also installed the Greddy injector correction adapter #2. Without this adapter the injectors ran too rich even at zero adjustment, and the adapter corrects this condition.
The EU unit is in excellent working condition, and the whole unit is more or less plug and play at the moment. However, I can't guarantee all the solder joints and wires are perfect. I would recommend to double check all solder joints and wires before driving with it installed. You might even want to re-solder just to be sure. I took it off my car because there was a couple of instances where I would get a CEL for accelerator pedal position sensor (puts the car in limp mode), but it was an intermittent problem because the car would always work after I started it up again. Thus, I believe there may be an intermittent solder joint problem on that wire. Never had any other problems.
Make no mistake - it will take some work but it is a good unit. Not going to lie - the easier choice is Osiris (which is why I switched) but I'm not looking to make a profit on this sale if I'm selling to an enthusiast. Otherwise I was planning to just put it up on Ebay. PM me if interested.

Thanks for the repels so far guys
Blu Blur, hi and your a lucky guy to have escaped the UK madness these days.
Wired 24/7 thanks for the offer, but at the moment i am still weighing up the options, and which would provide me with the best solution,
and i agree that its probably the re-flash, however i have an inquiring mind, and like to gain further knowledge when possible, which is one of my reasons for starting this thread, having played with the EMU on other cars, i wanted to learn more about how things have been accomplished with EMU on the DE motor.
