Default Cobb accessport problem?question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

today i just bought the 001 model of the cobb access port.i own a g35 07 at coupe.my question first and formosst is does this work with my year and model car?also if it does why is it giving me a error code saying it cant?it was successfully unmarried from the z it came off of.and i know this cause on the program for the computer its reading like this
vehicle:?
which i am guess it has no vehicle married to it.what i have done so far to fix it is replace all the maps from the 03 z to the 07 g at since they for some reason dont have maps for the 07 coupe at.could that be the problem?for some weird reason they dont work with 07 g35 coupe?since that was the body change year?any help is great.and if it douent work period then i need to sell it and if you want it hit me up for 350....

thanks guys,
john

you said you have an 07 which is not '03 - 06'.

Also i hope you know that cobb dropped support for Z/G's last year so good luck getting support on that.

It won't work because its programmed for a Z. I had this issue when I first purchased my Accessport, had to send it back to Cobb to have it reprogrammed for a G35.

03-06? OBD2 uses serial communication.
07-08? Uses CANBUS communication.

Now that i gave you a fully definitive answer to your query, ill ask you to listen to some advice:

Dont come into our house and put yer feet on the coffee table and act like you own the place, period end of story. Have some basic manners.

Comin on here and telling Dave to basically stfu on your first reply.. not ok.
Then to Djamps.. "whats your point".. also not ok.

i submit to you this, if youre a resident pro on the differences between the cars and the Cobb product, why are you asking us?

END THREAD.
