Default Factory ECU update vs. uprev

Has anyone had a factory ECU update with an uprev tuner version? Nissan finally released a TSB a few weeks ago with a revision to fix an issue that has been plaguing my car.

If i transfer my license to my cable, and have the dealer flash my car, would I have to wait for uprev to crack the new version?

things relevant to getting answers:
What was the issue you had?
And more importantly..
What year and model is your car and engine.

That type of behavior *should* be fixable by tuning and likely that's all Nissan did, so with a proper tune you shouldn't even need a dealer reflash and once your custom maps are loaded back up it's gonna wipe out any changes from the factory maps from Nissan.

yea, thats what I thought too. It seemed with your tool that I could hit every AFR I wanted the car to hit. but for some reason, at part throttle tip in, my wideband would read 18+ and the car would misfire violently. it did this no matter what drastic changes I made to the software. this is especially alarming since my car is practically stock!

I dont know if it kept doing this because I wasnt doing something correct or not but I was getting very sick of it after so many weeks of trying. flashing it to the newest rom (JK67A-->JK67c) has fixed it

maybe it was just too advance of an issue for a tuning noob like me

The change could have been more than just tunable parameters... glad it worked out for you!

Would be cool if uprev could reverse engineer (diff) the changes and come up with a new table to play with :P
