Default Help diag issue with cipher log

Hey everyone, I've ran my brain dry with ideas and can't confirm anything to be the problem 100%

Background, I'm running rich at all times (mods in sig) If I clear learned fueling, everything is fine for about 5 miles, then it goes rich. I had it be at 12.2 at idle on my way home from work today. If I don't erase them with the DTC eliminate in Osiris, I get codes p1283 &p1273

The good one

"The good one" is well, the good log with all the right PIDS selected. With the codes, the running rich and the look of the logs, I was leaning toward the 2 A/F sensors but not 100% sure and don't want to spend $220 and have it not fix it.

Do you have non-foulers, j-bungs, or anything else impeding your secondary o2 sensors?

I have an o2 simulator in place. O2 monitor and cat monitor pass no problem and no associated codes.

Arg. Can't edit on mobile. But the code have been there since just about the turbo install. Maybe 1000 miles after install it started. Going rich was about a week before I installed the simulator.

have you pulled your plugs to see if any one of them looks different?

No I didn't. They were just changed recently, within a few thousand miles if remember correctly.

One thing I did think of and I don't know if it's related or not but my o2 simulator for the high volage (rich side) is only getting to .7V instead of .9V. Would this be enough for the car to read and richen up the AFR to save the cat? (Leaning toward no but someone here may no something that I have no clue about.)

I know for a fact on an 04.5 at least (same model as mine) the lower o2's influence the long term trims pretty significantly. When I had antifoulers on mine I would get rich AFR's during cruise. After a long enough cruise I would start throwing the same codes you did. Idle and WOT were never an issue. Removed the antifoulers, put the o2's back in the exhaust stream, disabled P04x0 catalyst codes and all is good.

Hmm, well have an 04.5 also, so I think fixing my simulator would be a good place to start as I know that can affect it and it isn't right. If nothing else I can go back to the whole disabled p04x0 setup.

I would start by going back to stock o2 setup.

Well I had the spare parts to fix the o2 simulator so last night after work I pulled it back out and fixed it. It now switched between 0v and .89v so better than before, and now in the car it doesn't run rich. In fact, it seems like it runs smoother than ever before (minus idle) Everything is great but I have a slight rough idle :/ Not sure if related.

Glad you sorted it.. nobody ever believes me that the secondary o2's actually DO influence the fuel trims..this further proves it :P
