I pulled The MAF and seemed fine and super clean but I wanted to try
the stock MAF and see if that was it and

It was the car ran fine (well much better But not perfect) it held a idle fine and when throttle was applied it took it just fine.

Not like before but it is not scaled for the vortech.
I just ran it in the garage let it warm up and still seemed fine gave a few revs and it seems to be the problem.

One question with a new MAF from Vortech will it need a re-tune as I will be getting it from the same source??

It is a HPX PMASS with HPXN scribed inside

Thanks for all the help..I will post if it really ends up being the MAF when I get the new one..

What do you mean a new maf FROM vortech? they don't make maf sensors.

It sounds like that HPX sensor has gone bad. They are re-programmed stock sensors so chances are you will have to go get the tune adjusted after you get a new one. If the voltages were slightly different on the new one then your a/f and timing might be off. I would get ahold of HPX and complain about the maf going bad.

Hi Again
Still not working #########

So far I have went the expensive parts changing route
changing the obvious parts

1st a new throttle body
2nd new HPX MAF
3rd I went for a new fuel pump another 255
but when I removed the pump I found the top
sealing boot that fits on the pump was split and in
2 pieces. still not sure why but I can not seem to
find any replacement parts for this
attached photo.

after looking at logs and having Vince at RT-Tuning
looking as well he thinks it could be a fuel pump.

I have been told to check the cam sensors.
but how do you check?

would the cipher logs show it?
Nothing showed up on them
and I can not seem to attach logs here.

After being stumped for so long it kills me
but what I have found out is it has a hard start
and when warm I can go at 2k and give it throttle
not full but it did not seem to matter and it will go to
4k and flutter there almost like a rev limiter and when
looking at the logs it gets very lean then. and when you lift
the throttle it seems to pick up a few revs then drops.

this is what leads us to thinking a fuel pump and after looking into
cost of installing a gauge approx. $80 and a new pump $90 I went with a pump but now have the problem of locating a new top pump boot seal

Please help
1st. where to get seal as it seems dealer only sells complete pump assy.

2nd how to check cam sensor?

after looking at my logs it seems that the cam sensors are working as
when throttle was given they both went up to 30 to 32 on the intake then when throttle was released they went back to near 0.

Problem solved.

After giving up on finding a replacement rubber sealing boot
I used 5/16 Fuel Injector hose cut 1/16 longer and installed
it.
Car runs great just need new tank seal, but all it took is the boot to be
cracked and loss of pressure..

Thanks to all who chimed in
