Going In For A Dyno Tune On October 22nd, Couple Questions
1. Guess I need the software to reflash the ECU, mainly adjustability of timing curve and A/F ratio..Would like to keep the cost down if possible, is my best option uprev with the osiris, or is there a more cost effective approach sub $700 ?
2. Mods are Kinetix plenum, JWT popcharger CAI, Berk HFC's, Stillen TDE. Is it reasonable from a cost perspective to even get a dyno? I think the tune would be beneficial, especially for A/F ratio..But we're talking 1k or there abouts after all is said and done... Thoughts ?

The costs of a full dyno tune/software are going to vary by area. One would expect
the costs in the NE to be higher.I paid less than 600 bucks for the software and
dyno tune incl adjusting shifts on my AT.This was in the Atlanta area. With the
bolt on mods that you have, you are no where near getting power results from
these parts without a proper tune. For one, your car is prolly running lean.

steve, you can just wait until you get back to seattle and have intec tune it. i know they charge $700 ish for the tune, but that is the normal price up here.
with your mods, well with any mods really, a tune will benefit in some way. the more mods you have, the more benefits the tune will bring.
i mean you can find a cheap COBB Accessport and use that temporarily.

Yeah, well change of plans.... Sooner the better (weather/snow), considering I was going to have to take a hike I started calling around, found a place in Delaware (JTune) that is very familiar with the Z and has everything I need on hand. The other place in Niagra Falls had never done a Z and wasn't even familiar with UPREV.... So I'm taking the day off and hitting the road at 05:30.... Should be fun !!! Anyone familiar with them ? http://www.jtuneperformance.com/
We are booked out around 2-3 weeks at any given time but we have tuned 100's of Z's and G's and can handle anything you need takin care of.

Go to RT tuning.
If you do'nt know how to tune you will screw your car up. Take it someone and pay 500-600$ and have it done professionally. There are a lot of tuners around your area. 2 drive to a tuner is pathetic. I drove 7 hours to a tuner.

1. For the sub $700 range, UpRev is your best option.
2. To get a dyno, most places charge you for a minimum 2/3 pulls, which would run you $75. Might as well get her tuned and get numbers at the same time. With all your mods, a tune would be extremely beneficial. +1 on R/T Tuning.

Thanks for all the feedback, had her tuned by Hok at JTune. Great group of guys there that know their stuff. Car pulls harder, gained 25hp/tq pre/post tune. Didn't have a pre-mod baseline to compare total gain, but getting on the highway's a blast if you ignore the speedo.... Love the rush...
