Default Recommended FI Tuner

Doing a turbo and engine build on my 2004.5 350Z over the winter. Didn't get a tuner with my kit and I am wondering what you guys would recommend. I would really love something that could switch between two different tunes on the fly so I dont have to drive at high boost all the time. Would like the haltech PnP but I wasn't sure if it was capible of doing that. Any imput would be great. Thanks!

I personally like Uprev, coupled with a boost controller you're ready to go. Most guys with haltech use both anyways.

The Uprev is a good system to use for FI setups still using the MAF sensor. It has just enough features to get a turbo Z running properly and some other cool things like the map switching via the cruise control buttons. This way you can change maps on the fly. It holds up to five maps at a time.

Haltech is a great system to use for the Z. It offers more user adjustable features given that it is also a standalone ECU. It does not offer any feature to do map switching on the fly; however, if you have an experienced tuner, he should be able to program one map for both low and high boost. It takes a bit more work, but it's possible. I just did one on a customer's car. All he has to do is select low or high boost on his boost controller
