That's quite a generous dyno. I would have been hoping to hit 275ish whp with those mods on an 03 DE.

The church dyno reads at least 10% high from the dyno comparisons I've seen (with SAE dynojet). You're probably in the 265whp area on a dynojet.

Lol and dynojets read high compared to mustang dynos which according to my shop, are accurate to what you're actually making on the street.. so maybe 250whp?

You didn't notice them taking off the wheels before putting your car on the dyno? Your car is getting dynoed at the hub, not the wheels. With that said, they are still one of the best tuners around.

Different dynos have different readings according to type, calibration, correction method, etc. - As for comparison, they're best for before/afters on the SAME dyno when changing mods given that the conditions are similar or the same.

Yeah, didn't know it made a difference tho. How do they differ?

The way the guy explained to me was the yellow number are where it was at and the green is where it's at now. It was fluctuating between 280-299 the entire time.

Right, but you do understand that you're not actually making any more than 280whp?

My car (at one time....long long ago) made 282whp SAE on a dynojet. That said, it doesn't any more, unfortunately. In its healthier days it ran 108-109mph in the 1/4. I would have too check, but I think I am the only DE to run 109mph on the stock long block. You are not going to make more than ~285whp (SAE on dynojet) unless you run an alternate fuel...E85, 104, etc IMO.

I keep referencing SAE dynojet because it is sort of the industry standard for "dyno racing".

Sigh...I keep seeing these dyno number threads and I laugh, particularly when people talk about Church's dyno....

OP, I suggest if you want a better comparison with other car's dyno numbers, get dynojet numbers...

As a comparison here is my dyno at Church's dynapack:

Here are my dyno numbers a week later from a dynojet.

Take from this what you will in regards to how to you can compare dyno numbers.

350z006....what are your numbers? My work computer won't show your pics.

I was at 243/23x on Z1's dynojet with intake, v+ plenum, exhaust, and tune.

edit: Now that I got home and can see your numbers I understand why you were too cool to respond.

Don't look at it as HP drop, think of it as a percentage difference...
