Default Uprev'd an N/A '04 and got 11hp more

(sorry, been off the forum too long and need to get back on)

We had the pleasure of Uprev tuning Derek Sowell's 2004 350z.

He was sporting Borla headers and exhaust, Motodyne spacer, and a cold box intake from AEM. On the base run we got 238HP and 228tq.

We data logged his AFR and noticed it being very lean, very very lean

After taking it from a scant 16.9AFR in some load areas to about 13, we resulted in the final outcome.

Not only did we make the car overall safer, we managed to increase his HP and torque virtually across the entire graph.

We ended the session with 249HP and 236tq. ........not bad for $299

For the girls and boys that have a hard time with math, that's 8ft/lb and 11HP.

The Uprev software is alot of fun.

I'm trying to post the dyno chart. Hopefully that works.

Surprised the car not running HFC's or(if legal in the area)test pipes?
I have similar mods on my 03,plus Z1 HFC'S,Mines throttle body,Nismo cam
set.I'm pushing 270whp.
I'd think with HFC'S you should be up around to around 255whp

I'm not sure if he was or not.

We use a Mustang 1100se Eddy Current dyno........and that makes a difference.

The 350Z's that are bone stock make about 220 to 225 at the wheels on this dyno. That might be the difference.

We have done alot of Nissans over the years. The 350z/G35 have to be the leanest group we have seen. We normally have to richen them up to make more power.

The next time he stops in, I'll ask him about the cats and give him your advice. thanks!
