You wont lose MPG if your WOT IDC is above 80%, but as stated you will prematurely wear out your injectors, but you also run the risk of haveing an injector get stuck open, obv not good

hueyja, you asked about MAF tuning, its kind of the same idea as modifiying the fuel maps, but instead of adjusting the amount of fuel, you are telling the computer to adjust the amount of air thats coming into the motor. Not really needed for N/A tuning other than fine tuning AFR's across the board. But when going FI, which you plan on doing down the road, it is a must due to the larger amount of air coming into the system.

I really wouldn't this thread to become a fuel injector DC debate, but from my five year tuning experience I can tell you that >80% DC no-no is another forums myth. There are no noticeable more wear and injector won't stuck because it open at high DC rate. The reason why max. 80% DC is desirable is quite different nature. Hint: it's better having 100% DC than 90% .

its because of the time it takes the injector to open and close, the myth originated from the fact current is continuously passing through them and would cause them to over heat back in the day. modern injectors are pretty heavy duty though and dont generate the same heat so 100% duty cycle wont generate significant heat.

I remember reading that and was going by this when writing my last post,

Jeff, Not sure when I'm getting dyno time, I've been doing a lot of reading and math and have a map that might get the car started, if I can do that I'll work on it myself.
