Default Buying a TT 2003 with Greddy eManage Blue

Hello,

I'm looking at a 2003 with only 39k miles.

Installed is the Greddy Twin TD05H-18G kit, and I negotiated a fantastic price.

Unfortunately, it's tuned with greddy's blue emanage.

The following is the list of mods the car has, the owner doesn't know too much about the build besides the following, he bought it with 1 owner and 19k miles. He also says it makes 458whp at 18psi, and the car doesn't have rods.

What my question is, I don't believe 458hp or eManage to be safe, do you think this setup took a toll on the engine to the point where I shouldn't buy it and immediately have it retuned with uprev? The car comes with SSR wheels and a good amount of JL audio equipment, I think it is a really good deal at $14,000.

Greddy Twin TD05H-18G 8cm2 turbos
Cast manifold, external waste gates
e-manage located under passenger seat
440cc injectors
255 walboro fuel pump
Greddy Front Mounted Intercooler
Greddy Blow off Valve
cast oil pan, airinx intake system
BORLA dual exhaust

^thats a good deal but 18psi? thats pushing it. id get a new ecu/tune asap and lower the boost. id also get a thorough inspection to insure everything is running properly. he also could be flaking about the numbers, thats a bit idiculous

I agree w/ GTFO…if it sounds too good to be true than it probably isnt…there's a reason he's giving you a smoking price!!

if you do move forward with this have it professionally inspected...

18 PSI on stock rods, and 458 on stock block. Buy, drop boost and retune. Hopefully you will be lucky.

Wow, if that's not BS then its a hell of a risk and that thing is gonna go off like a grenade. I'd get that thoroughly, very thoroughly checked over.

As soon as I saw 440cc injectors I knew it was BS.

I'm guessing he means 8 psi (not 18) which sounds about right for the horsepower with an aggressive tune and/or generous dyno. I'd pass at 14k though, unless you really know what you're getting into and have the car fully inspected by a VQ/Z33 expert.
