Timing on vortech 3.12
Hey everyone,
What timing are you guys running on vortech setups? Im running -2 from 4000-5300 ish and -3 from there to redline. Im pushing down like 7-8 psi.
Seems to me i could set it back to 0 on the aem fic, (stock timing) but not sure if there is a rule of thumb for these setups.
Engine Mod list:
Vortech 3.12 pulley
Borla headers
Stillen true dual exhaust
blox 1/2 inch plenum spacer
AEM FIC
2012 570 GTR injectors
Walbo fuel pump
12 row oil cooler
Thanks

Lots of variables come into play with any tune.
Location, Altitude, Weather, ATI's, AFR's, Fuel Octane, your Modifications, and of corse Ignition Timing.
I'll tell you this, the stock Vortech Map for a V35de pulls 8 Degrees of Timing by about 5500 rpm in ther upper boost range. And this is with a 3.33 diameter seep pulley.
