dyno tuned with old spark plugs
I had my car dyno tuned about a month ago, with uprev and I was pretty disappointed with the numbers 240 whp, I have art pipes , and invidia geminin exhaust as my only boltons.
I had the car tuned a year ago with just the art pipes and the car made 272 whp on a mustang dyno. Now i know that dyno outputs are going to vary so i tried to not look to much into the numbers. after the recent tune the tuner says he noticed a stutter and recommended changing the spark plugs.
Now in the tuners defense they did advise me to change them before the tune but i didn't realize how old my plugs were my 07 z has 142,000. so a week after the tune i found myself barely and i mean barely able to pass a v6 Camaro with used car dealer plates .
The next day i got the spark plugs changed and man oh man what a difference. the question I have now is that did i negate everything the tuner did with the bad spark plugs, should i get my car dyno tuned again? i did reset the ecu after the spark plugs were installed and the car does run a lot better.

I am not completely familiar with tuning. But I am researching and doing a lot of reading, I don't think it will effect it that much honestly to what I understand. I wish I could go into deep detail but I'm not that experienced. From what I understand about data streams though it may have "some" influence on the current tune if you change really old plugs to brand new ones but I don't think it would justify going to get a whole new tune just cause you did spark plugs. Just my 2 cents
