Default Will stock Uprev map pass inspection?

Long story short, failed state inspection, removing Art pipes for stock. If I switch to stock uprev map, is the ROM still considered flashed, I.e. is it a different serial number vs. stock? Massachusetts now detects flashed roms and flags cars which happened last year.

I can remove the tune all together if need be, but is there a way I can tell if I send someone my maps?

Thanks,

Rich2342@yahoo.com for quick response

Well, I just flashed it back to stock. Took a few mins. Just a pain in the butt to swap out the cats. Anyone know how long before it will throw a code Untuned with ART pipes?

Would it pass with Art pipes and exhaust no tune?

Yeah, It will definately throw a catalyst monitor code, but I think it requires at least two codes for failure in MA.

What did you end up doing?
How does your local emissions testing work? Does it hook up to the OBD2 Port? or is it run on a dyno at 2500 rpm and idle?
I am going through a similar thing with my Z also.

Testing is done usually by visual and obd II port. Once it is connected all of prior years info comes up. So in my case I passed two years with HFC's and the readiness monitors were bypassed. On year three I failed.

I was told by the state inspection center that any time a rom is flashed the serial number changes from stock. That is how they detect tampering, also you can have no more than 2 or 3 readiness monitors unsupported or N/A in Massachusetts.

You can pass with a UPREV tune so long as the DTCs associated with OBD readiness have not been disabled...
