Default Colorado Tuner Shops

Hey guys I am getting the bug to start to modify my z any one know of any reputable shops in the Denver area? Or are there any local members that would give me a hand with some of the mods. I am thinking of just doing the plenum spacer and intake and exhaust for now. Thank you.

Depending on where you live, you might try Boulder Nissan or Mac Autosport in Parker. And while the mods you mention will only give modest gains (2-5 hp without tuning), I suggest you keep the OEM airbox (which is better than most give it credit for) b/c there's not much at all to be gained there.

Ok thank you I just realized that yes the oem airbox is good enough so I won't do an air intake probably just the plenum spacer and possibly exhaust. The plenum spacer I am confident I can do my self that just leaves the exhaust.

Would a tune be helpful after the spacer and exhaust?

Depending on the parts you choose, yes. I'd recommend having an UpRev tuner like Mac do the tune. It might even be helpful to get a baseline dyno from them before the parts are added to see what gains are made.
