Default Up Rev Tuned

I had a local tune shop tune my car using UpRev software. I paid for the software but only got the tune no Interface cable. With no interface cable can I take my car to another tune shop and have them access my computer ?

By "software" do you mean a license was flashed onto your ecu? If so then all you need is a cable.

If not, better to just buy a cable with a license on it from UpRev and problem solved; e-tunes/live tunes or do it yourself if you get the tuner setup. Good luck with it.

When you go to a shop and get dyno tuned all you get is the Osiris license flashed onto your ECU and the tune. No interface cable.

Any other Uprev tuner can plug in and retune your car, no problem.

Blue, I'm also looking to get a tune so should I just go to uprev and by the license and the cable and what's the difficulty of doing it myself?

Can I buy a UPREV Cable and it will recognize my License? I had gotten my car tuned paid for the license but now have moved to another state.

If you know a little about tuning or are at least willing to learn (just takes time) the tuner version does give you a lot more options.

It is not. You can use any unlicensed cable, tuner or standard, new or used.

Yea I think the cable is the actual license holder. Not the OBDII.

I got both so I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the cable. Cause when you look for your license and info it's under cable management.

Yeah Trav, when you flash your license for the first time from the uprev cable it puts it into the ecu. You can at any time put the license back onto your cable, then flash it onto another car, etc. Some guys do this (after the "back to stock" option when selling their Nissan keeping their valuable cable/license.

Yeah like Seymore said with the tuner version you or someone who is good at tuning yourself would be the way to go; costs I think $150+ more than the standard cable + license.
