Default e-manage injector capacity

I just spoke with GReddy, but now they are closed for the w/e and I need more info. What is the largest size fuel injector the e-manage for the 350 tt kit can control. They told me up to 150% above stock. So if stock is 290cc, should the equation read 290cc x 1.5 = 435cc, or should it read 290cc + 290cc +145 = 725cc.

I am not sure and any input will be appreciated.

thanks all

I believe the stock injectors are 280cc and your first equation is the correct one, 280 X 1.5 = 420.

They are 280cc @ 3.0 bar but the returnless systems are running 3.5 bar. Therefore the stock injectors are about 325+ cc.

from what i have heard is that e-manage can not run the 440 injectors that are out. but i am not sure. that maybe the stock ecu with ts reflash.

but i would like to know the answer to that question as well.

I don't get it. If the e-manage can only control a 420-ish injector, then how does it control the 440's that come with the GReddy TT kit? GReddy uses the same 440cc injectors in the RSX-S turbo kit. Can technosquare flash the stock ECU to control say 720cc or 850cc inj. for high boost/power apps?

I am getting a Vortech tuner kit shortly. Adam at Z1 offers the Ultimate Racing fuel/ECU solution from Ultimate Racing, which I will go with - It is based on Greddy E-Manage and their own 440cc injectors - they tested the solution for several (3-6) months on their Z successfully - I hope!!

Maybe it depends on what type of 440cc injector you use - but I dare say you could not go above 440cc. Now you could have Technosquare reprogram your ECU for the PE 380cc injectors and scale up +50% from there with the e-manage - gets expensive though.

Hope this helps.

well i forgot that the tt kit came with 440s.

and after readin what i said earlier i got it backwards.
what i meant to say is that the stock ecu with can only control 380s. it does not have enough current to handle the 440s. even with the ts reflash. im pretty sure i got it right that time, but would someone please correct me if im wrong.

The eManage can control much bigger injectors....it has nothing to do with current. It has to do with drivability, since as you scale the MAF signal for the bigger injectors, you run into timing issues. Also, bigger injectors will spray more fuel at their lowest possible duration....1ms, so as your get bigger, you are spraying more fuel..even at idle and cruise. This can, at some point, result in a poor idle, and an overly rich condition.

The eManage should easily control injectors up to about 550-600cc with decent drivability. Larger than that would likely require a TS reflash for the 380cc injectors, and then you can scale the rest of the way with the eManage. This is what SGP racing did on Kudos's car...running 750cc injectors and 17psi of boost.

Hope this helps.
