Default Z Nationals are right around the corner, registration is open.

[B]If you haven't done so already it's time to start making plans to attend the 2008 Z Nationals. March 28th-30th. Pre-register now for the Track Day and Dyno Competition as space is limited for both events. We are considering adding a new element to the track day this year by adding a TIME ATTACK Competition at the end of the day.

No worries we're still going have plenty of time for everyone to get on the track and test out their skills but to add a little extra something to the day's events we are looking to turn loose a few of the faster cars to compete against the clock, and each other, for prizes.

Track day registration is $150 and Dyno Competition registration is $50. You can sign up for either (or both) at www.znationals.com

Even if you don't want to compete and just want to participate in the car show and other events we ask that you pre-register so that we can begin to get an idea of how many people will be here and how many cars we need to plan for.

In past years this event has been 300ZX heavy and I'm asking all of you to help us out this year and represent the 350Z and G35 community with a strong showing.

It's going to be a great opportunity to meet other enthusiasts, look at each others cars, and take advantage of product specials and promotions all weekend long from Z1 Motorsports and event sponsors.

Visit http://www.znationals.com for more info.

Did I mention that the car show winner will get full coverage in Down Shift Magazine? We're talking about a feature photo shoot with a national model and......the cover. Yet another reason to sign up and make plans to join us for the 2008 Z Nationals.

There are still open slots for track day, however, the pace is picking up and they will be gone soon. If you plan to participate please don't wait until the last minute to try and register, if you do you may be left holding your helmet.

For those who have inquired about the car club group rate I hope to have final info on that over the weekend and will distribute that info. If you would like more info regarding this please contact me.

Thanks.

At last count we had less than a dozen slots left for Z Nationals Track Day and I expect that number to dwindle quickly. If you plan to participate in Track Day and have not registered yet you should register now and not wait any longer.

We're down to the final weeks leading up to the 2008 Z Nationals and all of the event details are coming together. A small number of track day slots are still open and we are proud to announce the addition of ADVAN / Yokohama to this year's event. In addition to coming on board as an event sponsor they will be hosting tire tech sessions throughout the weekend discussing such topics as tire selection, tire tuning, and how to read tire temps and tire wear.

Event sponsors thus far include Garrett, Gwinnett Place Nissan, ADVAN, AMS, Mike Smith Performance, Labree Motorsports, Downshift Magazine, Howe Racing, and Mega Z. We appreciate all of the support that each event sponsor has given us and look forward to expanding the list and making the 2008 Z Nationals an event for all of us to remember.

Rotora is our latest Platinum Level event sponsor. We confirmed with them this morning and will be giving away (2) $1,000 discount coupons towards the purchase of a 4 wheel big brake kit.

The Z Nationals host hotel is booked but we have added a 2nd hotel with the same discounted rate. The Holiday Inn Express in Bremen is next door to the host hotel and will be offering the $72 per night Z Nationals rate as well.

We will have a designated area at Atlanta Drag way for our group. I'm not sure what you're asking about on the $35 or $65, there is no entry fee for our car show on Saturday. Anyone who attends our show on Saturday can present their ID bagde and lanyard from the Z Nationals show and get $10 off on Admission to the Nopi show on Sunday when we head up there.

Z Nationals have came and gone for 2008. We have literally thousands of pictures and hours worth of video footage that we are sorting through and editing. As soon as those are ready to post we will be uploading them to the Z Nationals site as well as our Z1 Motorsports and Z Nationals myspace accounts.

This year's event was a great success with over 200 cars and 500+ people in attendance despite weather forcasts that scared some people away. The rain held off until 3 PM so we had several hours of hardcore show n shine time before we had to move the party indoors.

Congratulations to Jeremy and Danya Barrow for taking home Best of Show with their 2007 Antifreeze Green Widebody 350Z Roadster. Shrek was just one of the many head turning cars that was on display this year.

Thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the weekend, we hope to see you all again next year and continue to check www.znationals.com for updates redarding this year's high lights DVD and the announcement of next year's event dates.
