Default Z Nationals 2009. September 25-26, 2009

Make your plans now to attend the 5th annual Z Nationals event at Z1 Motorsports. After 4 years of steady growth and attendence in the hundreds each year we expect the 2009 Z Nationals to be bigger than ever.

In 2008 we had over 200 cars and 750+ people in attendance. We gave away over $10,000 in parts, and dyno tested over 15,000+ horsepower worth of cars.

The 2009 event will be a two day show, with track day on Friday followed by a show n shine and dyno competition on Saturday. The track day will once again be at Talledega Grand Prix with all other event activities at Z1 Motorsports.

To catch a glimpse of the 2008 event and get an idea of what you can expect at Z Nationals check out the trailers from the 2008 highlight DVD.

Bryan, will you or Russell be posting about the "Super Z Caravan" that will take place from Z Nationals to ZCon?
I think this will be the all time event of the year for me.

Once we get more details and are able to give specifics we will be posting about the caravan from Z Nationals to ZCon as well as the various caravans that will be coming into here from around the country.

The Hampton Inn in Bremen, GA is once again the official host hotel for the event for those traveling in from out of state. We are looking into the possibility of adding a 2nd track day event on Thursday and incorporating a time attack challenge into that day's run.

Wow I just signed up the other day too, I must've just got in when it started. Sweet!

I'm trying to get some peeps from the NE to come, but no one wants to drive south of the border, LOL.

Looking forward to seeing you again this year. We're considering our options for having a track day on Thursday as well and having a time attack competition that day in addition to the standard track day on Friday.

Really? That sounds interesting. How much extra would it cost?

Oh and how many track spots are you giving out? I already bought mine, but just curious since I'm trying to get some Northeast people to come down with me so I don't have to drive 1000 miles by myself, lol.

I think there are 40 spots for sale on Friday. If we do a Thursday event as well there will be 30-40 additional spots. We're looking at an entry fee of $150-200 for a timed event on Thursday with the majority of the entry fees being given back in prizes.

I already registered for the track day and show. When would you release information about the Time Attack?

We've decided against the time attack on Thursday, after discussing the insurance costs we were going to have to charge more than we were comfortable with. So we're sticking with the standard track day format on Friday, Show / Dyno on Saturday, Drag Strip on Sunday. Followed by the Caravan to San Antonio for ZCON.

I figured so, I probably wouldn't do it anyway. Between Z Nats and Z Con, it'd burn a huge hole in my wallet. Haha.

Are the hotel spots open for us to grab?

Isn't that going to be a tad bit late to be getting on the road for a long trip Bryan? Drag events won't usually end til late afternoon. I thought the Caravan to ZCon was leaving first thing Sunday morning. I don't see current info on the ZCon Caravan on the Z Nationals site.

The caravan is leaving at 7 AM for San Antonio, as is the caravan to the drag strip. Jeremy from Speed4Sale.com is running the drag event and will be heading that up along with a support staff. Russell will be leading the way to San Antonio.

Track Day Update ****23**** open slots left for track day. These will fill up quickly, register now so you don't get left out.

I didn't see where you had registered? Sure the registration went through? I've been setting up run groups today and didn't come across you.
