ZdayZ 2009
As for Modified Magazine, I subscribed just for this event's coverage. (Thankfully only a year's subscription.) To date, I haven't seen it published. If someone has seen it, please tell me the issue or post up scans of it.

OK all, finally back in the saddle from ZCON and almost recovered. I have some advice:
1. never try to party with those damn Canadians every night for a week straight, oooof! Also on that same note, do not under any circumstances get into a drinking game with them either, ouch.
2. I went to ZCON, kind of last minute decision and I am so glad I went. I think there is some bridge building to be done and I think it will get done.
so here goes:
I had many Beers with Art Singer and we discussed a lot, including ZdayZ, clubz, NSM coverage of ZdayZ, and so forth. from that discussion don't give up on NSM yet. Most of the staff are not getting paid and they are printing what they can out of passion. Partner club membership/support is vital at this point. One of the reasons that ZdayZ didn't get the coverage "I feel it deserves" is several misunderstandings. Art and I talked and we will be working on a plan to get NSM to ZdayZ and get more coverage in a win-win situation for both entities. We haven't finalized anything so I cannot post what they are, but I think Art and I understand each other a lot better.
Also, I felt like a black sheep walking into ZCON. ZdayZ is such the antithesis of ZCON, and well I just felft out of place. The fine folks at ZCCA made it clear I was welcome and I learned a lot. ZCCA is also under new management and they are looking for ways to be more marketable and allure more/new members. Exciting times.
Oh yeah, as soon as the AMS guys introduced me to "Mad" Mike Taylor, he looked at me and said, "we need to talk." Well we did, many times for many hours. I will say Mike is a unique individual and the Z community is blessed to have him on our side. God help whoever's side he is opposing
Mike and I discussed many things and I am looking forward to continuing these discussions in the coming months.
What I can say for certain now, is that ZdayZ will become a ZCCA affiliate. That does not change the complexion of ZdayZ at all, just merely supporting the community in a different fashion than we have previously. Also I am on the board for ZCON 2010, can’t wait. Look for updates to the NSM dialog and hopefully a amiable resolution that benefits all, owner, reader, sponsor, and partner clubz. ZCCA is down on membership and they are looking for ways to increase membership, and with the new cadre I expect action, they are driven, ambitious, and passionate.
Peace for now, must get back to the turning hampster wheel for ZdayZ 2010

Did someone mention CDN guys???
Glad to see you made it back in one piece.
BTW, I ate some humble pie at the track event when I returned a certain article to the owner.
He took it very well at my expense of course and was eager to hand me a 10mm wrench for the job. I sure could have used that extra washer...lol.
