I'll be shooting a lot at this event! I dont even call myself a photographer... cuz thats way to advanced for what I do. But I'm thinking about shooting some ND filtered shots at night on the dragon! Could looks pretty dang awesome as long as everything goes right!
never been on the dragon at night though.

I also took a lap in a mini on thier midnight cruise of the dragon, dewd had some may rally lights on the car it was like daylight. We don't have rally lights!
I'll make sure after the event to get the link to all my shots to all the Z people!

You hit it there. The lumins should be the big concern. Sunset should be at 8:42pm with it being dark enough around 9:15pm. The schedule shows movie at 8pm. You're going to need some killer output to overcome the ambient sunlight.
As for regular DVD or Blu-Ray, with a screen that large, you want the highest resolution possible to avoid the screen door effect.
That would be good! I see what you mean with the moving tail lights. Nice idea.

Cables have come down in price in the past couple years. My theater's 35' cable was $200 two years ago. I see a 100' cable with in line signal booster is around $300 now. I think you're better off with a short one instead.

Why would you need to do that? Your source (the DVD player) and the projector just simply need to be together. Besides, A 100' cable would delay the image just slightly enough that it wouldn't match the audio.

hey man, I bought the projector cuase it was cheaper than a tv. Don't feel poor, I'm not an AV snob, it was just a few months ago I upgraded from a 480i computer projector to an HD projector.
The twisted part is taking the projector to ZdayZ and playing guitar hero all week on the wall. Instant party. There is a video floating around of the staff cabin from last year, too cool. It turned into mass karaoke, LOL 40 peoplke squaking and drinking.
The wildlife will never be the same.

I need mo info about your set up. I might be able to piece together something a little better.
I was an A/V nerd at my last job, you said all sound was to be transmitted FM correct? So all we need to worry about is video?

Then why were you asking how to set up your PS3? It "seemed" basic.

Just get some Z chicks drunk.
I was in charge of a ~$1M theater on weekends. Equipment didn't change. I quit that job in 2005. My TV couldn't handle the 24 fps rate, I didn't know this at the time and so didn't know I needed to cut it off.
I know how to trouble shoot A/V issues. I just wanted to spend as little time as possible doing it since Gatti and others have the same TV as me.
You think I'm full of crap I can give you the theater managers number. He will probably be there tomorrow.
I lub when joo guize try to call me out.
