The schedule will develop as we get sponsors on board and as we start getting entries in, we'll be looking at previous history and grouping drivers.

I haven't seen the regular registration... hopefully there's a question to indicate track event interest... but I'm not sure. We may just send out an email once we have registration for that set up.

And yes, you can absolutely bring your GTS.
Thanks for the info, I have a Viper Days event on the 14th and 15th @ Sebring so as long as I have a couple days between I will try and make this. New tracks are always fun

That's right. He did say that he would get us some. He better not make me mad. He won't like it when I'm mad.

Several clubs have disbanded and decided not to be part of zdayz. I am openly recruiting volunteers, the pay sux, the work may or may not suck, trying to sort out the events list based upon the staffing we can scrounge. email or PM if you or your posse is intersted in volunteering/sponsoring zdayz.
Just another bump: Registration is open in case y'all didn't see this post.

This would be out of the way for you but would you like to meet in Lexington, KY? Last year it was the meet point for several caravans. ( crews from Canada, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, etc... ) I know we were like 26 cars deep when we rolled out of Lexington. I posted up a pretty good video on the caravan somewhere in the 2010 ZdayZ thread. It was awesome rolling down the interstate and filling the streets going through Pigeon Forge,TN. PulpZ2 and I are trying to organize this again this year. Always gotta make it bigger and better! Sure could use help from the WV crew!

I am seriously considering attending this event this year... I skipped the last two years but I'd hate to miss it this time around. I called the hotel and asked for the group rates and they were very reasonable.

Whats the deal with the event reg? $65 I can see paying for the weekend. But I have to pay another $50 to bring my woman for the weekend too? WTH! lol It should be by the car.. We are only talking 2 seaters here!... Also, whats the dinner include and where is it held? Who's to say people don't wanna just get a nice dinner at the Bistro back at the hotel? Should be an option for without dinner.

My .02

Zim

Just a quick update on the track day (Thursday, May 19th)... Aggregate has been going down all week, and paving is set to begin next week!!!

Atlanta Motorsports Park Photos on Facebook

Registration for the track day is in the works.

Woo-hoo! A Thursday track day! This is looking sweet. (Too bad I have a roadster but I'd like to come anyway.)

I guess we will have to caravan down on Wednesday.

So this track day might actually happen? Has anyone posted the cost?

Right now I would place it as very probable

As far as cost, we're still working on sponsors for the event, and honestly, how to incorporate it efficiently and NOT detract from ZDayZ as a whole. I hope to meet with or at least conference with Bryan and others to get this thing nailed down very soon (corralling Bryan is like trying to catch an muddied pig.)

Appreciate the reply and your efforts to make this happen. There's a group of us that look forward to our airstrip event each year and we're giving it up to help support this new event.

If we know for sure by April 1st (no foolin' now ), then we can still try to organize the airstrip event if this isn't going to work out. I'm all in for the road course if you can get the track open.

Right now, it seems the only thing that could stop this thing from happening is the weather... and except for the storms that blew through last night, it has been cooperating very nicely.

I sure hope this thing isn't still in question by April 1st... once the asphalt is down, things should move very quickly... we may not have all the trackside amenities by May... but as long as the safety stuff is there, I think we can make do and have a great time.

One thing I'm definitely planning for registration... deferred payment. What that means is, your credit card will NOT be charged until we're 100% sure the event will be run. We'll take the info at registration, but the charge itself will be held. So if there are surprises, we won't have to worry about refunds and credit card fees.

For ANYONE who is even remotely interested in the track day... please take a few minutes now and create and account on MotorsportReg.com (if you don't already have one.)

www.motorsportreg.com

Once it's set up, you'll need to add Asphalt Ventures to your list of organization/club "memberships". Don't worry about the membership number, but if it asks who referred you, enter ZDAYZ.

Be sure to complete your driving history and vehicle information as well.

This will save time once we do get registration set up officially.

If you are an established instructor, please email or PM me

Thanks!!

FYI - there was no option to 'key in' how I heard about the club -

Tell us how you heard about the event... Friend, Instructor, Flyer, Internet search, Online Message Board post, MotorsportReg.com
Please choose any that apply

I just picked Online Message Board post

EDIT - I see the option now - selected ZDayz. Thx.
