Yup, they were both sore and passenger had a concussion. I was 3 cars behind her on the skyway when it happened, and I'm amazed that they weren't hurt worse. I didn't see her launch off of the curb, but came around the corner right as she hit and the car came down into the ditch. It looked REALLY bad at that moment.
The fact that they were both ok is a testament to our cars and to racing seats. I hated it for Drea, but she kept her chin up about it and I think that she still had a lot of fun and smiles. Hopefully, she'll come back with a new toy next year.
Also, I was amazed by the Z community and how everyone was so helpful and supportive. Several people waited with them at the crash site for the 3.5 hours it took while we went to get my truck and trailer to come back and pull her out. Then when we pulled up at Fontana, Brian Settle essentially just tossed me the keys to his truck and trailer since he has a Titan and mine's only a Frontier. I had only talked to Brian once last year and in a few threads on here, so I was floored. I can't begin to mention all of the individuals that dropped their plans for the day and helped out. It was like a family.
