Awsome video from my Z on the paris streets to meet my girl friend
Your Z, huh? I think you're underplaying the more important achievement of the successful installation of a flux capacitor in your Z and teleporting back to 1976. Oh, that and transmogrifying your Z into a Ferrari (or was it something else? The comment above on the sound not matching is very astute; rumors abound...).
Oh, the wonders of Google, my friend... just impossible to pull off a good BS these days... (leaving all the credits in was a nice touch)

Nice try. Good find though; very cool video. Wonder if that's where Nissan got the idea for "The Run"?

Would do your credibility a major boost if you would have put a "nod, nod, wink, wink" after your title.
But thanks for posting a link to the "Rendezvous". Car was a Ferrari, I think a 512???? 1st time I've seen it in wide screen.
This was the movie that was the motivation for Nissan producing "The Run".

cool video. I used to live in Paris, actually about a block or two from where the guy picked up his gf, at the Sacre Coeur.
Most of the video seemed staged, because there was no cars on the streets which never happens in Paris, esp. in the earlly morning like that.
Also the whole time the car driving on cobblestone and it was quiet, which is magically impossible to be driving on cobble stone at that speed and have no noise, let alone not fish-tailing on the corners.
I like the 350z THE RUN much better in Prague

This video was shot by the famous French filmmaker Claude Lelouch. Here is more info:
"On an August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.
No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.
The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.
Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago."
