Default My 06 BMW M3 on the A62 Autobahn.

I used to be a somewhat active member of this forum until Oct 2005 when I traded my 350Z Roadster in on a 2006 BMW M3. Anyways here is a video I did during the winter of me doing some normal day to day driving on the autobahn. Please note the speedometer doesnt drop below a 100 mph but a couple times through out the 14 minute duration.

Enjoy!

Gotta love that German driving mentality, you see a car coming fast move over and clear that left lane. People in the US are so uptight about " i own this lane" that causes so much traffic and accidents. What a beautiful invention, The autobahn.

Thank God the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the Autobahn for the Germans. It's the only place left where you can drive to a car's ability (for the most part).

I should have said re-built. Typo on my part. I believe autobahns were developed even before Hitler, he just embraced it and it also supported war efforts.

For real, the Us Army corps of engineers, were instructed after the president at the time saw how the Germans could move tanks and everything around their country efficiently on the autobahn. To build our interstates with one of the bills for the Dept of Transportation. It was a poor representation of the Autobahn but still enabled us to travel cross country much faster. The autobahn is still superior in quality to our roads. I believe they are something like almost 2 feet think compared to our 12 inches it might be.
