I can assure you the oilchange costs even more. A good friend of mine has one of these cars, and we have been over a lot of this stuff before. It is ~$1200 at the dealer and they are only allowed to use a special Shell Helix oil. The oil costs $80 per quart IIRC. There have been reports of dealers trying to void warranties if an alternate oil is used. For reference, they have a deal on the Helix oil, it can only be bought through the dealer. So they can charge ludicrous sums for it. There have been some people trying to start lawsuits about it.
Edit: hah....I just watched it and realized they said half of what I just wrote...some stuff they didn't mention: the engine costs more than the $200k they say, car has multiple downforce and traction programs, car has hydraulic front lift, no power windows, no stereo (AC only), tft display on guage cluster that tells you a ton of **** while you are driving depending on the traction program, led's in steering wheel to indicate revs...
