Video Exclusive: NISMO R-Tune, S-Tune track testing from Sport Z
Now available at www.sportzmagazine.com are test drive videos from Sport Z Magazine’s NISMO test at Willow Springs. Each video is a little over a minute long and features laps in a stock 350Z, the NISMO S-Tune, and the NISMO R-Tune. The passenger-seat view in the videos, with each turn highlighted, gives you an insider’s look of Willow Springs at speed in each of the three Zs, with final times noted. The last video is for hard-core racers and features driver Carl Merritt in the R-Tune after his “lesson” with champion racer Peter Cunningham, allowing viewers to compare “before Cunningham” and “after Cunningham” lines.
Please note: there is no commentary or exterior footage of the 350Z. The videos are intended to go hand-in-hand with our 8-page article in the Winter 2003 issue of Sport Z article (release date: Nov. 28). The feature includes a detailed description of the road course (including shift points, when to get on the brakes, etc.) as well as full analysis of each car’s performance.

SportZ magazine does it again and right before our track day at Willow Springs!
Great job SportZ magazine! I love the videos and cannot wait to get the newest article. This is great timing for our 1st annual Mossy 350Z track day at Willow springs in March.
If watching this video and reading the article on Willow Springs motivates you to want to track your 350Z there, I want to remind you we are sponsoring a 350Z track day for beginners to advanced drivers on March 5th.
A lot of my350Z members will be there. Thus far, we got at over 25 - 350Z's attending. Your car can be totally stock or modded. Trust me, it can handle the track in Stock form. Formal sign ups will start in January. Cost will be about $140 for 8 hours of tracking your Z and checking out all the best 350Z's in the southwest.
BTW, we will have a great cross spectrum of types of modded 350Z's. Cheston is planning on being there with his PE TT. We should have SC and well powered NA Z's there as well. The Mossy Z putting out close to 300rwhp will be there and is a sponsor of this event. Richard350z that is often spoken about on this site will be there too as well as Jeff@performance Nissan's 350Z. We got a Porsche 911 and some other cars thrown in to add some spice but mainly, it is a celebration of 350Z's.
All you need is a helmet (motorcycle type will do) and desire to learn about how to drive better. Skilled drivers will be available to ride with you to teach you how to drive most effectively.
It is all about having fun and it is a safe track so you will not hurt your car.

Ask me any questions you like, I would be happy to answer them (pm me or go to the other thread above to ask questions). This could be one of the most interesting and enjoyable events for 350Z owners this year, don’t miss it!
